Organising your home, pantry and closet is tough enough without the added stress of purchasing expensive items to get the job done.

Most of the time, it’s that of “out of sight, out of mind” mentality that helps us stack and store items without giving them a second thought, until we actually need them again. “Now where are those command hooks/duck tape/camera charger/pair of shoes I bought last week?!” Sound familiar? We think so, too.

This is a MUST have item for all homes! Great for storing oils, vinegars and spreads. This is our number 1 pantry item. Leave it on the kitchen counter or use it in your pantry, you’ll be sure to easily find the mustard in no time. Best part? Only $5.00

2. Expandable Cutlery Tray

Ever find yourself rummaging top, middle and bottom draws, looking for the potato peeler and cursing internally at the endless mess that is your kitchen drawers? This expandable cutlery tray is a simple, yet genius masterpiece that will have all your essentials in one. All for $19.00 at KMART

 

3. Two-Sliding Drawer

We LOVE to use this item under our clients sink to store bin bags, sponges and dish pods. This hassle and mess free sliding drawer is the way to go! Grab them for $10.00 

 

 

4. Fridge Basket

This item was designed to be used in your fridge but we love to use these in drawers for organising hair brushes, hair spray and sunglasses, they are also great size to use in your medical cupboard to store children vitamins, first aid supplies and more.
 

5. Clear Drawer 

 

These clear drawers come in a few different sizes, and can be used to store handy items like iPhone cords, chargers and camera accessories. They make it easy to locate items without rummaging through your tv stand drawers.

They can also be used in desk draws, and even in the FRIDGE to store things like lemons, limes, garlic or onions. The little rubber stoppers on the bottom prevent them from moving around in your drawers.

Why and How I Started The Organized Life

From a young age, I always knew I wanted to run my own business, but I never realized the amount of work it takes to start a business, let alone run one. I have always loved to help organise, style and decorate my girlfriend’s rooms and wardrobes. It is something I enjoy and something I do well. In Canada, I went to school for interior decorating and discovered this is my passion. Soon after I finished school I decided to venture across the world landing me where I am today, beautiful Australia!

I began to nanny for an absolutely amazing family who took me in like I was another daughter. I learned so much (don’t let anyone tell you that nannying is not a real job because they have no idea). I always enjoyed organising the kid’s rooms and wardrobes because it was so satisfying knowing everything had a place. The mum I worked for asked me a few times if I could give her pantry a good “shake down”, as it had gotten a little out of control and needed a makeover.

After seeing the joy that a well organised home brought to the family, I knew then I had to start this business to help as many people as possible. This is when The Organized Life was born and it continues to grow every single day.  With my background in styling, and passion for decluttering and organising, this combination is perfect to help anyone with their home or office.

I believe that this business is a great way for me to help people, families and businesses declutter their lives and get organised so they can feel stress-free. I have four core values that my business believes in:

  1. Reuse – (NOT LETTING ANYTHING GO TO WASTE) Giving second hand loved items to families in need.
  2. Organised – (EVERYTHING HAS A HOME) Being organised, every item has a label and dedicated spot in your home.
  3. Time – (HELPING YOU SAVE TIME) Working efficiently and teaching you tips and trick to stay organised, which will help you have more time to yourself and spend less time around the house.
  4. Support – (ALWAYS HAVING YOUR BACK) Relieving stress in people’s lives, I’m only ever one phone call away for advice, as well as a monthly maintenance service.

Our vision is to change people’s lives by decluttering and re-organising their homes or work spaces, give them more time to focus on the things they truly love and live a stress-free life.

I love giving and I love making people happy. This is exactly what I do every single day. The expressions on my clients faces after I have decluttered and organised their homes is priceless, and makes me love every second of my job. I believe it is imperative when starting and running your own business that you are passionate about what you do.  I would like to share a beautiful quote that resonates with me and how I approach my work and business :

On March 31st 2017 I officially registered my business “The Organized Life” and yes Organized is spelt with a “z” the Canadian way. I was born and raised in Canada, but am lucky to call Australia my home. I feel so fortunate to live in the most beautiful country, and do what I absolute love to do each and every day. I could not ask for more.

I can’t talk about my life and business without mentioning my incredible fiancé, Connor. Connor has worked extremely hard as an entrepreneur over the past few years, starting up a fitness studio gym ‘Code5’ which now totals 3 gyms in the Northern Beaches. Saying I am so proud of him is an understatement, and I admire the driven and passionate person he is. He plays a significant role in motivating me to follow my dreams, and has also provided me endless support and encouragement from day one. None of what I am doing would be possible without him, and I am so lucky to have him by my side. AND in November this year, he will be my husband!

Sometimes I feel like I need to pinch myself, because I am truly so lucky to run a business that can help so many amazing people. Good days often turn into great days as my clients get a fresh new organised home, and I leave feeling extremely satisfied that I’m making a difference in people’s lives.

I can’t wait to see what the future brings for The Organized Life as I continue to help as many people declutter, organise, and style their home or work places.
